We at the Indy are interested in learning about the experiences of people who have applied to serve on boards and committees in Amherst and we have developed a survey to give residents an opportunity to share their experiences.

For most boards and committees, the Town Manager chooses who will serve and the Town Council confirms that choice with a vote. A list of the committees that are populated in this way can be found below. The current policy of the town is to not make public the names of all those who apply, or to provide any demographic data on the applicant pool.Ā

We would like to hear about your experience applying to be on board(s)/committee(s) whose members are appointed by the Amherst Town Manager. Even if you have never applied, this questionnaire provides the opportunity to share your thoughts about the process.

Please take the survey here.
Please share the link with your personal networks and encourage others to complete the survey.
