Public Reading of the Re-written Declaration of Independence

Area youth activists will host a reading of a re-written Declaration of Independence to demand true freedom for all on Saturday, August 2, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Amherst Town Common. This event is organized by five youth activists, and co-sponsored by Youth Climate Action Now, Feminist Generation Amherst, and Representative Lindsay Sabadosa. The five organizers are Ethan Flamand with Grassroots Central MA, Marisol Pierce Bonifaz with Feminist Generation Amherst, Xyoa Wilding, an Amherst College organizer, Alice Jenkins, a youth activist, and Joey Pisani, a youth activist.  The re-written Declaration was authored by Flamand, a junior at Clarkson University.

Attendees are encouraged to bring fold-out chairs and picnic blankets.
