The following candidates have submitted the required signatures (25 for district councilors and 50 for townwide offices) to the Town Clerk by the deadline of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16. Allegra Clark submitted nomination papers for at-large town councilor and school committee member. Dillon Maxfield submitted papers for at-large councilor and District 4 councilor. These candidates must withdraw from all but one race by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 2.

There is still no one challenging the incumbent Library Trustees, all of whom are seeking re-election. There are only two candidates for the two District 5 councilor seats (incumbent Ana Devlin Gauthier and Sam Macleod). Judith Souweine (incumbent) is unopposed for the Oliver Smith Will Elector, and Pat DeAngelis and Michael Burkart (incumbent) are the only candidates running for the three seats on the Amherst Housing Authority.

Candidate statements are due by Thursday, October 2 and will be published on the Town Bulletin Board. Those received after Octobefr 2 will be posted on the Town Bulletin Board within five business days of receipt. As in past elections, the Indy will post the candidates’ statements, and will also pose a series of questions to candidates in contested races, and will post the questions and candidates’ answers in early October.

All townwide elected offices will be on the ballot in the November 4, 2025 election. Rank choice voting will be in effect, so there is no run-off election. Voters will elect:
