Letter: Middle School Auditorium Ceiling Needs a Safety Inspection

On February 6 2026, I attended a student concert at Amherst Regional Middle School. Attached is a picture of the compromised sheetrock ceiling located directly above the head of the Music teacher directing the band. The ceiling near the stage is all sheetrock, not hung tiles. There are several damaged areas in this location. Could a safety inspection be done soon? Or better yet, a repair or replacement of the ceiling sheetrock? Even when the exterior roof is repaired it appears to me the ceiling needs to be done over too.
