The Burgoff/Ricker Trio will be featured at a musical coffee house at South Congregational Church, 1066 South East Street, on Sunday October 19 at 3:00 p,m. Refershments will be served. The Burgoff / Ricker Trio includes Jimmy Burgoff on upright bass, or bass ukulele, and Mark Ricker on the electric guitar. These two have performed together around the Pioneer Valley for 24 years. Recently, they have added Julian Burgoff, a very talented conga player, to their intimate style of performance. Their specialty is the music of Brazil, known as the bossa nova; they also intersperse varied styles of jazz standards into their set list. All three musicians play in other local ensembles as well. Please come and enjoy their music—and delicious refreshments—in a comfortable coffee house atmosphere.
