Community Safety Working Group Schedules Public Forums On Amherst Police And Public Safety Services

Amherst residents are invited to testify at two community forums on the Amherst Police & other Public Safety Services. Anonymous testimony can also be offered on line.  Residents are also encouraged to offer testimony about their personal experience with the Amherst Police and Public Safety services as well as  suggestions on how to reform safety services to ensure racial equity and community safety in Amherst.  The forums are designed to solicit community input that will inform the recommendations to be made by the Town’s Community Safety Working Group.

The forums are scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 5:30 PMto 7:30 pm or on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 PM and can be accessed at the Zoom links below or  by contacting  staff liaison, Jennifer Moyston at  moystonj@amherstma.gov or (413) 259-3002. Written input can be sent to Moyston at Town Hall or by completing the online questionnaire here.
