In March 2020 our lives were forever changed by the emergence of the COVID-19 virus. The University of Massachusetts campus remains closed this summer, in keeping with state guidelines and concerns about the safety and well-being of our community.  But we carry on! Jazz in July will be up and running summer with an online format for classes and with a live concert on the Town Common. Come celebrate Jazz in July’s 40 year history at a free outdoor concert on the Downtown Amherst Common. See and hear performances featuring Jazz in July alumni and members of our World-Class Faculty–including Sheila Jordan, Avery Sharpe, Steve Davis, Winard Harper, Jeff Holmes–and many more! This event is co-presented by Jazz in July, the UMass College of Humanities and Fine Arts and the Amherst BID.

July 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Alumni set at 4 p.m. and Faculty set at 7:00 p.m.
