The public is invited to join the Amherst Public Shade Tree Committee for a tree planting on Saturday September 11 from 9 a.m. to noon. Trees will be planted at the Bangs Center, Clark House, and other downtown locations.People are requested to assemble outside the Bangs Center in downtown Amherst. This is the sixth of seven planting events planned for 2021.
The committee’s final tree planting of the year is scheduled for Saturday October 9, with a focus on East Pleasant Street.
