Downtown Summer Concert Series Begins This Weekend

The free, summer downtown concert series kicks off this weekend with a the Amherst Community Band with Dave Morris and Lexie Black, conductors, presenting a program of American music. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Sweetser Park on Main Street in the center of town. The band will play beloved standards of American music to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The event is sponsored by the Amherst Historical Society and the Amherst Business Improvement District. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy music by the Amherst Community Band, .
