Amherst Community Connections Will Host Open House October 11

Amherst Community Connections, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing social services to the Amherst community and the surrounding areas, is celebrating its Sweet 16 anniversary with a special Open House and Community Arts Showcase on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at its new office, located at 256 North Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA.
The event is free and open to all. Guests will enjoy:
- Talent show and an exhibit of arts and crafts created by community members, celebrating their creativity, tenacity, and talents.
- Interactive activities, including a community art wall and memory jar.
- Tour the new and greatly improved office space and meet the workers and volunteers.
- Light refreshments are generously provided by local businesses.
“This Open House is a chance to celebrate 16 years of free community services helping our neighbors to access affordable housing, prevent eviction, pay rent/utility arrears, and obtain public benefits, while also shining a spotlight on the creativity and resilience of our members,” said Hwei-Ling Greeney, the Founder and Executive Director of Amherst Community Connections. “We invite everyone to stop by, connect with neighbors and community members, and be inspired.”
