Applications Now Available for Amherst Community Homes, 30 Affordable Duplexes for Homeownership in North Amherst

Valley Community Development Corporations announced that applications are now available for entering the lottery to purchase one of the 30 affordable two and three-bedroom duplexes in the nine-acre Amherst Community Homes located at 195 Montague Road. Two hybrid information sessions will be held at the North Amherst Library 8 Montague Road on Thursday, January 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, February 7 from 12 to 1 p.m. The Zoom link for the January meeting is here, and the link for the February meeting is here.
Applications are due no later than February 24, 2026. A lottery will be held for applicants eligible for the available units by size of household and income. Amherst residents and those working in Amherst or having children in Amherst schools will receive preference for seven of the duplexes.
