Amherst Media announces two new summer programs for teens. These programs are a great chance for teens to learn the value of community storytelling and their place within it.
In Mysteries of the Forest, which will run from July 27, August 7, students will have the opportunity to write, produce, direct, and edit original films within nature. Students will gain exposure to the entire script-to-screen filmmaking process and get to share their visions from the forest with the community!
Tuition for this session is on a sliding scale of $50-$500 and nobody will be turned away for lack of money.
In Local Media Matters! Students will direct pieces of investigative journalism pertaining to important community issues, including 1) Amherst’s resolution to hold ICE agents accountable, and 2) justice and equity in our schools. This workshop is available in two sessions, August 10-14 and August 17-21.
Tuition for each session is $450 and nobody will be turned away for lack of money.
