This Friday: Cuppa Joe with Communications Manager Samantha Giffen

The public is invited for coffee and conversation with Amherst Town Manager Paul Bockelman and Communications Manager Samantha Giffen on Friday July 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at  Cushman Market and Cafe, 491 Pine St.

Giffen has served as the town’s Communications Manager for over two years. In this role, she manages public relations, social media, the town’s website, and various outreach initiatives to expand community engagement, promote opportunities for government participation, and increase the transparency and accessibility of information and services. Giffen developed and led the first-ever All About Amherst: Civic Academy, which will now be hosted annually every fall. She is also currently overseeing an upgrade and redesign of the Town of Amherst website which will be launching in January 2027. 

Join Giffen and Bockelman to talk about these and any other town-related topics! 

The “Cuppa’ Joe with Paul” events are monthly and rotate locations around town. Each time, Bockelman is joined by a different town department head or official who provides insights into their area of focus. Residents and others are welcome to share their concerns, offer suggestions, or just get to know each other.
