Hampshire College announced on June 13, the receipt of a $2 million gift to the Change in the Making campaign from an anonymous donor. This is the eighth seven-figure gift to the campaign, which has raised more than $40 million since it launched in 2019, and represents another critical step in filling budgetary gaps as the college returns to full enrollment and financial sustainability.

The unrestricted operating gift supports the ongoing implementation of a revolutionary curricular model that organizes undergraduate education around the most urgent challenges of our time, instead of the traditional structures of majors and disciplines. Key components of Hampshire’s curriculum—building courses around urgent challenges, the unique Semester Unbound program, Learning Collaboratives, and Project Teams—will all be supported by these funds.
