Photos of the Week: Tesla Takedown in Hadley

Kitty Axelson Berry captured these photos at the Tesla Takedown at the Tesla charging station near the intersection of Russell Road and Bay Road in Hadley last Saturday (3/29). About 200 people assembled in the cold and drizzle to protest Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s role in dismantling the federal government. Axelson-Berry reports that  people of all ages in passing  trucks, busses, 18-wheelers, and passenger cars tooted, waved, and gave the thumbs up.

We have added a few images of actions from around the country. Last week there were over 200 Tesla Takedown protests across the globe. The movement has led to a plunge in sales and market value.

About the Tesla Takedown
“Tesla Takedown” is a grassroots protest movement that arose in early 2025 targeting Tesla, Inc. and its CEO, Elon Musk. Protesters have organized nonviolent demonstrations at Tesla stores across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australasia and urged the public to divest from Tesla by selling their vehicles and shares of Tesla stock. The decentralized movement’s goal is to economically impact Musk and challenge his political influence peacefully.

The movement arose in response to Musk’s involvement in US president Donald Trump’s administration, which includes Musk’s role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and in the 2025 United States federal mass layoffs. Musk serves as a senior advisor to the President and is the leader of DOGE. DOGE’s purpose is to carry out Trump’s agenda of federal spending cuts and deregulation, and, according to the order that established it, to “modernize federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity”. 1. Thanks for this report. We had an inspiring experience at the standout in Hadley. I’ve never witnessed such support from the oncoming traffic, and for good reason. We’ve never seen anything like the present occupants in the White House and their fascist enablers in Congress. Obviously, both Elon Musk and the Present are sociopaths and hopeless narcissists. We must never normalize what is taking place in our country at this point it time. To do so is to enable their treachery.
Much of the so-called Legacy Media has given Musk & DOGE a free pass and yet the “Department” itself should be questioned. This from Wikipedia: “Judges and journalists have struggled to define DOGE; members of the Trump administration have given conflicting accounts of its authority, membership, and leadership.[110] The repurposing of USDS to accommodate the legality of DOGE has been challenged in court.[111] Trump has tried to exempt DOGE from disclosing its internal documentation. In court, DOGE has argued that it is not a government agency; a federal judge found that it needs to abide by the responsibilities of one.[112] DOGE lawyers sought to shield its members by restricting the meaning of “DOGE employee” to having a formal tie with USDS. ” ( for footnotes go to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wikiDepartment_of_Government_Efficiency#Legal_status )
As I write this many here in the Valley are preparing for the “Hands Off” protests. See you in the streets!
