Mark your calendars for the 14th Annual Amherst Sustainability Festival, taking place on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Amherst Town Common. During the event, attendees are encouraged to stop by the CET booth to learn about the Amherst Heat Pump Program. The program’s goal is to complete 30 heat pump installations in Amherst by the end of 2026 and there are currently only 6 spots left for homeowners to participate. This program provides financial assistance, expert guidance, and education to help homeowners install energy-efficient heat pump systems which provide clean heating and cooling.
The Amherst Sustainability Festival is hosted by the Town of Amherst Sustainability Department and the Town of Amherst Department of Public Works Tree and Grounds Division. Generous contributions from local businesses make this event possible. Sponsors include USA Waste & Recycling and the Amherst Business Improvement District.
