Decarbonizing UMass Teach-in on Oct. 13

October 13, 5:30-7:30 pm
Gunness Student Center, Marcus Hall

Also available on Zoom: https://umass-amherst.zoom.us/j/95572679386?pwd=aXnABAaemlMVNx6ZavHela60VOW1Ob.1

In preparation for the “Decarbonization Days” sponsored by the UMass Administration, UMCZA invites you to a teach-in that will cover where UMass’ emissions come from, what needs to change, and how we can best advocate for decarbonization.

Spoiler Alert:  92% of UMass’ emissions reported in 2025 came from our Central Heating Plant or from purchased fuel and electricity. For that reason, we will focus on how the Central Heating Plant works, and the options for cleaner, safer, greenhouse-gas-free heat in the future.

Come to voice your concerns, to learn, and to network.

Pizza will be provided.  Please RSVP: https://forms.gle/1w5HARUNNMsoU7RN9
