Meet Norah Stewart, The Indy’s New Intern

Norah Stewart

The Indy is pleased to introduce Norah Stewart, our new intern for the fall semester. Norah is a sophomore at UMass Amherst with a double major in English and Journalism. She will be covering the Community Safety and Social Justice Committee and CRESS and will be our eyes and ears on the UMass campus.

Norah also writes for the social justice and politics beat at the Massachusetts Daily Collegian. She especially enjoys covering protests as she finds it refreshing to witness different groups of people banding together for what they’re passionate about. She enjoys reporting on Social Justice and Politics because she thinks that people should know what is going on in their communities.

Norah is excited to join the Indy and is looking forward to a semester of writing local news. You can reach her at nestewart@umass.edu

Norah is one of two interns joining the Indy this fall. Next week, we well introduce our other fall intern, Kiera McLaughlin, a senior journalism major at Mt. Holyoke College.

  1. Welcome Norah! It’s always nice to have UMass students engage in actions that benefit our community and enrich their understanding of it.
