The UMass Department of Art in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts invites the local community to shop and support emerging artists at its spring Student Art Sale and Open Studios event on Friday, March 27, from noon-4 p.m. at the Studio Arts Building at 110 Thatcher Rd.
This event offers a unique opportunity for students to develop valuable entrepreneurship skills while showcasing their artistic creations and engaging with the local community. Artwork on sale will include art prints, ceramics, stickers, fiber art, tote bags, T-shirts, functional pottery, jewelry, paintings and other unique gifts, and students receive 100% of their profits with no selling or setup fees.
In addition to the art sale, the students will open their studios to the public, giving visitors the chance to meet the artists, explore their creative spaces, and learn more about their ideas and processes.
The Student Art Sale and Open Studios event are part of the college’s HFA Days and festival. For more information, visit the Department of Art website.
