Report on the Meeting of the Elementary School Building Committee, December 12, 2025

This meeting was held over Zoom and was recorded.

The Elementary School Building Committee convened on December 12, 2025 for its monthly meeting. Tim Cooper from DiNisco Design (architects) reported that the exterior is nearly completed, and the building will be “ready to be energized” by next month. He explained that this means that power will be delivered to the building but not yet distributed (the transformer is expected to be on site soon). The committee toured the building this month and will be invited back on-site in February 2026. The construction of the building remains on schedule for completion at the end of July 2026. Bids on the FFE (furniture, fixtures and equpment) bid package are due today and will be reported at the next meeting.

Invoices totaling $5.4 million were approved for the following (approximate amounts given):

Anser Advisory (OPM) $54K
Dinisco Design (architects) $68K
CTA (general contractors) $5.1M
Allied (testing) $15.6K
Milton CAT (emergency generator) $193K
Griffin (switchgear) $14K

No weather related delays are expected during the winter as contractors will be working almost exclusively on the interior of the building. Site work is planned for the spring of 2026.

The committee will continue to meet monthly but the schedule for 2026 is not yet available.
