Indy to Publish Abridged Editions in October

Dear Readers
The Indy will be posting abridged editions the weeks of Oct 3, 10, and 17, with only a few key articles each week while Maura and I are traveling. Think of it as the Indy lite. Robin Jaffin, Jeff Lee, and Josna Rege will lead the production and editorial team, with assistance from Maria Kopicki and Laura Quilter.
The team will prioritize maintaining coverage of the Town Council, School Committees, Planning Board, and the Hampshire College campus rezoning.
The Indy will continue to accept all kinds of submissions, though there may be a longer wait than usual to get them posted. We invite people to step up and help us fill holes in our news coverage during this interval. Please send submissions and queries to amherstindy@gmail.com. The Indy will continue to accept comments for the Comments Section, though that too may require more time for moderation. We ask for your patience.
Our regular features, “What’s in This Issue?”, “What’s Happening in Amherst?”, and “Photos of the Week” will be on vacation during October. This week’s What’s Happening includes events in November, and while we won’t update the calendar again until the end of October, you’ll still find plenty of listings here.
We hope you’ll keep visiting the Indy to keep tabs on town government and civic life in Amherst. We’ll be back with a full-length issue on Oct. 24.
