Public Forums And Workshops Scheduled To Explore Proposed Major Capital Projects

Four public events have been scheduled over the next two weeks to afford Amherst residents the opportunity to learn more about the Town’s plan to undertake four major capital projects over the next five years (library, elementary school, south Amherst fire house and DPW) and options for the Jones Library. The first workshop was held on Wednesday, February 24 via Zoom and was attended by Town Finance Director, Sean Mangano, Town Council President Lynn Griesemer, District 1 Councilor Cathy Schoen and six members of the public.

The remaining workshops and forums are as follows:

  1. Library newsletter says there will be a Community Chat tomorrow (Thursday) at noon to discuss the Library Project.

    Why haven’t these meetings been publicized earlier and more widely???
