Coronation Café, the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce, and Amherst Business Improvement District (BID) invite the community to help celebrate the café’s newly expanded space with a ribbon-cutting on Nov. 5, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at 103 N. Pleasant St. The Amherst café “extended its table” last month, making room for more seating and a brand-new ice cream window.

The café started construction a little over two years ago. With the expansion now complete, the café now has double the space it had before, and offers a reservable room for private events and an ice cream counter. Before Coronation Café opened its doors in 2022, Bart’s Ice Cream was there for 38 years, until the pandemic.

Coronation Café was built around the idea that there is room at the table for everyone. By offering a welcoming space, nourishing food, and encouraging meaningful conversation, the café aims to bring people together and help the community flourish.

“We have extended our table,” said Joe Kurtz, owner of Coronation Café. “We are thrilled to offer this new space to the Amherst community. You will experience the same, familiar menu you have come to love with more room at the table! We have added a seasonal ice cream counter serving ice cream from Maple Valley Creamery. There is also a private room available for reservation. If you are hosting a birthday party, a business meeting, or a ladies’ tea, consider reserving our private room! Come and bring all your friends!”

This event is free to attend, with RSVPs encouraged on the event page.
